Scott and Kirstie's Wedding: A Rustic Elegance Shit-Show to Remember
Scott and Kirstie's Wedding: A Rustic Elegance Shit-Show to Remember (her words, not mine. This is why we get along so well!)
Love can happen at any time, even during the first week of high school. This is the story of Scott and Kirstie's wedding, as captured by Amber Renee Photographer. Their love story began when they met in senior high school, and Scott asked Kirstie out during the second week of classes on September 15, 2007.
Scott traveled all over to watch Kirstie play ball in college. For the first two years, he came out with his parents a couple of times to watch her play. After that, they only saw each other on Thanksgiving and Christmas. For the last two years, they took turns going back and forth every weekend from Great Falls to see each other. When softball season hit, Scott always came to see Kirstie until summer..
Amber (the photographer) and Scott share a love for the Duke Blue Devils, making their friendship even stronger. Their wedding was Game Day themed for the guys, and they made sure to include fun elements that reflected their passion for the team. It was clear that Scott and Kirstie's wedding was a day that celebrated their love for each other, their family, and their shared interests.
Kirstie and Scott's love story is unconventional, and they did everything backwards. During the end of Kirstie's senior year of college, they started trying for a child because they had just bought their first home. A year after, they found out that Kirstie most likely couldn't get pregnant. When it came to their wedding day, Kirstie knew that it would be the most important day they'd ever have together. They planned it with all the people they love and made it a day to remember.
Over the years, they have grown together, and one of the things that brought them even closer was their love for rescuing dogs. They fell in love with rescuing dogs when Kirstie brought her first rescue dog home during their junior year of high school. They still have him today, and he's currently 15 years old. Kirstie loves Scott's patience and how he never gets mad when she brings a stray dog home. They now have seven dogs, but at the time of their wedding, they had six and dressed them up as groomsmen and a flower girl.
Family is important to Kirstie, so they focused on creating an elegant shit-show to be remembered. Their theme was rustic elegance, and Kirstie wore two dresses. One of the most memorable parts of their wedding day was their vows. Scott is not a sentimental person, so it was incredible to listen to what he had been thinking about and holding in for the last 15 years.
Kirstie left no details for the wedding behind, making sure that every aspect of the day was perfect. The creams and gold hues were absolutely gorgeous and added an elegant touch to the entire event. From the floral arrangements to the table settings, every detail was carefully thought out and executed to perfection. It was clear that Kirstie's attention to detail paid off, as their wedding was a beautiful and memorable day for everyone involved.
The celebration continued well into the night, as Scott and Kirstie's reception was like a night at the club. The atmosphere was lively and full of energy, with everyone dancing to the music and enjoying the company of each other. It was clear that the couple had gone above and beyond to make sure that their wedding day was a memorable one for everyone involved. From the elegant décor to the fun and festive elements, Scott and Kirstie's wedding was a beautiful representation of their unique love story.
And just when you thought it couldn't get better, Scott and Kirstie snuck away to Red Lodge Montana for a day after session. The stunning natural scenery provided the perfect backdrop for some truly breathtaking photos, capturing the essence of their love and commitment to each other. The couple truly went above and beyond to make their wedding day and after session unforgettable, and it was clear that their love for each other will continue to grow stronger with each passing day.
